BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS

Bloodborne Pathogen

The Federal OSHA Bloodbrone Pathogen Standard was published in 1991. It was designed to reduce and minimize the potential for occupational exposure to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, or more commonly referred to HIV, the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and other human Bloodbrone pathogens.

In the Occupational Health and Safety training program, you will learn methods of protecting yourself from potential exposure to Bloodbrone Pathogens in your workplace. It also covers the very important procedures that must be carried out should accidental exposure occur.
